Nice chat with Turbine CS
I had to call Turbine's CS last night to get an AC account error fixed. (There's a ton of complaints about that on the AC official forums if you care)
Anyway, after fixing my issue I gave the nice CS guy some feedback, including how much my family and I miss AC2. I told him there is a large community out there (didn't mention this site specifically). He said it wasn't the first time he'd heard that and that they "appreciate hearing it". He was really nice about it. For what that is worth.
If you ever have a hankering to get in touch, be warned that they are really swamped right now. I guess it's between AC 10th Anniv, DDO free, and Lotro stuff. Their email response time is a week plus and I was on hold on the phone for 2 hours before getting through. I only stuck around to get my account issue fixed.
They really need more staff and an 800#.

Re: Nice chat with Turbine CS
it's always nice to hear little stories like this. I hope Turbine realize one day (very soon) what kind of diamond in the rare they closed down, and start support and co-op with Lost Company. I really dont want Turbine re-opening AC2 again seeing how badly they are ruining Lotro with one fatal decision after the other. I can tolerate one scenario; Ac2 is re-opened by Turbine, but the game updates are solely handled by Ac1 devs.

I don't know, I don't think that Turbine has "ruined" Lotro, I think they've done a damn good job with it, and once again people are starting to take them seriously.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Re: Nice chat with Turbine CS
I'm a player of Lotro, and I can tell you AC2 at the end was alot better, tumeroks race rules over any race ever to be created, lotro is limited by its lore and make Turbine devs hold themselfs to intruduce new systems that improve the game, I'm just sad that AC2 didnt have the same support as lotro, either from Turbine or gamers in general, people bashed the game for being horrible and never gave it a second chance...
Anyway, we will know if lotro failed when they reach Mordor expansion

Well, when I say ruined, I meant soley that Turbine ruined the game for me personally. I can mention Goat Riders, horrible LI system, neglected and only-getting-worse-by-the-updates crafting-system, radiance, a playing motivation-swift from casual to a grindy item hunt, a bottomless ocean of Reputation grind, Runekeepers, and a big quality drop in both quest dialogs and quest content (mainly referring to book and chapter quests).
I do agree that people are starting to take them seriously again, and thats a good thing. But, the little things I liked in lotro that reminded me of AC2 is slowly fading away one lotro update after another.
I hope the current lotro developers keep their sticky hands off any new AC game or a miraculous revival of AC2
