Turbine have posted an update explaining exactly how the new purchase by WB is going to affect Asheron's Call. You'll be happy to hear that AC is not going away, and in fact Turbine hopes to be able to put some of these new found resources into "expanding" the franchises.

As the cliché says “No news is good news.” This phrase remains to be true. For Weeks we were unable to reach Oplock. Over the weekend I managed to get a hold of him.  He was excited, things are progressing nicely. He was busy in development and I didn’t want to take up his time and away from the project. But he did say that he has his first established milestone met and he’s steadily gaining speed to his next one.  He’s promised he’s still working steadily. The busy holiday has taken some of his time but he’s moving in a great direction.

So lately I've been getting mindbleedingly bored, hopping between MMOs every month or so for about a year now. So few games are fun enough to solo through the barren lower levels, consistent in gameplay so that you don't hit a brick wall where you can't solo anymore, or have to start raiding to advance. Well, not anymore, but at one time I was!

First off, our sincerest apologies for the lack of weeklies. The name would imply that we would post new things, you know, weekly, but sadly with work, vacations and all those other fun 'real life' things, we've been slacking! Our last few weeklies (again, I know, poorly named) haven't generated a whole lot of posts, so perhaps this one can get something going.
